Painting depicts the joy of the circus with it's dazzling colors and sounds. Bottom left is a cannon shooting an elephant that somersaults top middle. Tightrope walkers(or are they babies?) in top hats float by. A Ferris wheel shows a line of riders waiting like dominoes. And popcorn gets trampled underneath in all the happy chaos.
